This blog is published and operated by Stephen Louis A. Dillard. He is of counsel with the law firm of James, Bates, Pope & Spivey, L.L.P., which is located in Macon, Georgia, and chairman of the firm’s appellate practice group. Before joining the firm, Steve clerked for the Honorable Daniel A. Manion of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals from 2001 through 2003. Prior to clerking, he was an associate with the law firm of Stone & Baxter, L.L.P from 1996 through 2001. Steve has authored appellate briefs and cert. petitions for cases before the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
